Ann Regina Paulsen, age 89, passed away March 6, 2018. She was born September 26,1928, in Brooklyn, NY to Ann and Richard O’Toole. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 69 years, James Victor Paulsen.
Ann is survived by her son James and daughter-in-law Gloria of Ridge, NY, daughter Janet Scanlan and son-in-law Ralph of Niceville, FL; grandchildren Kerianne and Anthony Donofrio of Miller Place, NY, Keith, Kenneth and Kristy Paulsen of Ridge, NY, Kathryn Scanlan of Niceville, FL, Megan and Mark Queen of Fort Myers, FL; great granddaughter, Angelina Donofrio of Miller Place, NY and brother-in-law Leo Mullen of Lindenhurst, NY.
Ann’s first job was with New York Telephone Company as a switchboard operator. Her true passion was being a wonderful wife, mother and homemaker. She was an accomplished seamstress and spent many hours doing intricate needle work projects and crocheting. She enjoyed entertaining family and friends with her husband, Jim. Her smile and elegant sense of style will be missed.
The family would like to extend a very special thanks to all friends and professionals who cared for Ann over these past years. Memorial donations to Macular Degeneration Research or Regency Hospice are appreciated.
A time of visitation will be held on Sunday, March 11th from 5-7pm, with a rosary at 6:30, at Heritage Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, March 12th at Christ Our Redeemer Catholic Church beginning at 10 am. Interment will follow at Heritage Gardens Cemetery.
