Annie L Zimerle

Ann Zimerle is resting in the arms of Jesus.  She began her life’s journey on October 12, 1940 in Sylacauga, AL.  Ann moved to Fort Walton Beach in 1958. Her earthly struggles ended on Wednesday, February 14, 2018. She fought a brave battle against liver disease during the last 2 years.  During that time, she enjoyed short outings with her “fun money” and all the treasures she found.  Ann was a courageous fighter all her life.  You only had to look at everything she had overcome to know that.  She was a strong-willed woman who dealt with the challenges she faced.  Ann loved her family and achieved amazing things.  She worked hard and raised 3 sons who survive her; Ronnie Zimerle (Diane) of Charleston, SC; Steve Zimerle (Sherry) of Saint Marys, GA; and Randy Zimerle of Fort Walton Beach.  She was blessed with 8 grandchildren; Jessica, Ian, Seth, Chris, Tye, Stephanie, Blake, Randi Lee, and 4 great grandchildren; Anniston, Ashton, Anthem, and Kadence. She is also survived by her sister and best friend, Patsy Pulliam, of Fort Walton Beach, her brother, Carey Green (Carol) of Sylacauga, AL and sister-in-law, Kay Green.  She had numerous nieces and nephews who dearly loved “Nanny Ann”.   Their loving support was an added blessing for her.  Ann expands the circle of her family who were awaiting her in Heaven; her father and mother, Gordon Green and Ida Mae Hurst; her brothers, Danny, Gene, and Jerry Green; and her sister, Nina Kay Wright. The viewing will begin at 1:00 and the service at 2:00 on Tuesday, February 20, at the Chapel of the Cross on Jonquil Avenue. Graveside services will follow at Beal Memorial Cemetery.  Afterwards, a time of fellowship will be held at 915 Sara Drive in Shalimar.
