Danny R. Skinner

Danny Skinner has completed his earthly race!  He has shed his crippled body of 51 years…and he is celebrating his new life in his new home, with his Savior and friends and family he hasn’t seen in years!

Danny passed from this earth on March 15, 2018, leaving behind his mother, Helen Skinner, and 3 brothers, David, Darrell, and Dana; as well as his sister, Dawn Lohman. 

Born on April 30th 1966, at Eglin AFB, Florida to Charles and Helen Skinner, Danny spent nearly his entire life in the Ft Walton Beach/Destin area of the Florida panhandle.  Graduating from Ft Walton Beach High School in 1986, Danny made many friends that would cross his path throughout the rest of his life…and he spoke highly of every one of you!

A nearly lifelong resident of Destin, Florida, Danny touched many lives through his work at the local Winn Dixie.  The acts of kindness that were bestowed on Danny, from a customer buying him a new bicycle, to the numerous times that friends would just buy him lunch or give him a $20 tip…those were highlights in his life that he spoke of often!

He loved his work…and he greatly loved his association with the outstanding co-workers he shared his life with.  On behalf of Danny’s family, I would like to express my deepest appreciation to Scott Szucs and the employees at Winn Dixie!  You played such a huge role in his life, and he loved you folks dearly.

Danny gave his heart and his life over to Jesus at an early age…and he was certain of where he would spend eternity!  Although we will miss him tremendously, and his passing leaves a tremendous amount of grief…not one of us would have delayed the homecoming he’s experiencing now!  We love you, Danny…and can’t wait to see you again!
