Eldora Janet Maddox

Eldora Janet Maddox, age 94, went home to her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 6, 2018. She was born on December 7, 1923. Eldora was from Sioux Falls, SD and moved to Niceville, FL in 2009. Eldora loved life and enjoyed arts and crafts and had many hobbies to include ceramics and china porcelain painting. She was most appreciative of her many Sioux Falls and Florida friends and the loving care she received while at Superior Residences in Niceville. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Donald Maddox; two daughters, Carolyn Errett of Minnetonka, MN and Cheryl Bohlmann of Crestview, FL, and her parents, Frank and Mary Sawtell of Cavour, SD. She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Dickson of Niceville, FL, 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, her nephew, great nieces, and many great, great nieces and nephews. Eldora was born in Merriman, Nebraska having raised her family in Cavour and Huron, SD prior to moving to Sioux Falls in 1967 where she resided for 42 years. A memorial service will be held later this spring at Woodlawn Cemetery in Sioux Falls, SD where she will be buried next to her loving husband, Donald.
