Linda Darlene Schneider

Linda Darlene Schneider of Niceville, FL passed away peacefully at home early Sunday morning, December 10th at the age of 68.  Linda was born on December 15, 1948 in Waco, Texas to Phyllis and James Harwell.  For many years as a young adult Linda worked as an operator at the Southwestern Bell telephone company before going to college (while raising 3 children) to complete a bachelor’s degree in mathematics.  Later she earned a master’s degree in software engineering and worked in her later years as a systems analyst on Eglin Air force Base.

Linda was a wonderful wife and an even more amazing mother.  Above all she was cherished and loved by her family.

Linda is lovingly remembered by her husband of 49 years, Charles Lee Schneider; her daughter Victoria Preston and her children Gabriel and Nathaniel; her daughter Romy Hanna, husband John Hanna, and their children Evelyn and Rachel; her son Bobby Schneider, wife Christine, and their children Mandy, Emily, David, Katelynn, and Bobby; her brother Leslie Harwell, wife Olga, and their children John and Hallie; and two great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents Phyllis and James.

A memorial service will be held at Heritage Gardens Funeral Home in Niceville on Friday, December 15th at 11 am.  The family will receive family and friends at 10 am.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor Mobile http://www.littlesistersofthepoormobile.org.
