Melodie L Newton

Melodie Newton, 57, our first born, went to her new home with her Savior April 3, 2017.  She leaves behind her parents, Bob and Donna Newton, sisters Stephani and Patricia Newton and her shining star niece Braedyn Newton.

She was born in Athens, Alabama, graduated from Burnsville High School in Minnesota and, after 2 years of college, enlisted in the United States Marine Corps.  She served four years in the Marines, stationed in Twenty-Nine Palms, California and Okinawa, Japan.  Melodie’s passion in life was helping others, a love of nature and animals, writing music and Patriotism.  She especially loved her dog Abby.  Melodie touched many lives both near and far and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Her “Celebration of Life” Service will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 1:00pm in the Sanctuary of Crosspoint UMC in Niceville, Florida.  In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to www.woundedwarriorproject.org or PAWS Animal Shelter, 752 Lovejoy Road.
