Lt. Col. Paul D. Giguere USAF ret., passed away on September 7, at home in Niceville, FL. Paul was born in Boston, MA June 5, 1950. He graduated Dedham HS 1968. He attended Lowell Technological Institute, now known as U Mass Lowell and was awarded his BS in Chemical Engineering in 1972. He participated in the ROTC program and was commissioned as a 2nd Lt upon graduation. He completed pilot training at Moody AF base in Valdosta GA and received his wings November 1973. He was a T-37 instructor at Moody and Williams AFB AZ. He then moved on to flying the F-111. He had two tours at Upper Heyford England and a 2 year exchange with the Royal Australian Air Force at RAAF Amberly, Queensland. He concluded his 24 year Air Force career flying a desk at Davis Montham AFB, Tucson AZ. The family returned to their home in Niceville in 1997. Paul began a new twenty-year career as a software test engineer for Tybrin and retired recently from his position at Colsa. He loved working on Eglin AFB near the flight line.

Paul leaves behind his loving wife of 44 years Carol Ann, their three children CDR Paul R. Giguere USN, Noelle Giguere Lentz, and Stanley M. Giguere, six grandchildren, his brothers Robert and Philip and his sister Susan Unger. He will be missed.

A funeral mass will be held at Christ Our Redeemer Catholic Church, on White Point Rd. Friday September 22 at 11:00 am. There will be a visitation at Heritage Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday Sept 21 from 6pm to 8pm.

In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Paul’s name to the American Cancer Society or to Christ Our Redeemer Catholic Church.
