Selma Lois Ellis

On October 13,2017 our sweet, precious mother, Selma Lois Griner Ellis, went to be with her Saviour in heaven. She was born in Pond Creek, Florida, on November 14, 1921. She was a beautiful person through and through and loved by everyone she touched. She was a stay at home mom who was devoted to her children and grandchildren and loved them with all her heart. She was the sweetest mother and grandmother anyone could have. She was a very talented lady, painted beautiful pictures, loved gardening and her flowers and loved people. She was a Christian and a member of the First Baptist Church of Niceville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leah and Jeneral Jackson Griner, her husband of 54 years, Joseph Jackson Ellis, brothers Alonzo Griner, Floyd Griner, Esmond Griner, and J.B. Griner, and sister Corinne Griner. She is survived by her children Glenda Boyette, Karen McBroom and husband Tommy, David Ellis and wife Tina, and Marc Ellis and wife Rachel, grandchildren Sandra Cooney, Michele Smith, Brian McBroom, Brent McBroom, Haylee Huffman, Tucker Ellis, Mandee Richardson, Jennifer Reese, Aric Ellis, Aaron Ellis, Michael Ellis, Mariah Ellis, and Natasha Ellis, sisters Iva Pacini, Cleo Everage, brothers Eugene Griner and Aaron Beale Griner, twenty-six great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Sleep well sweet mother, embraced in angel’s wings… no more pain… no more suffering. Sleep in peace in heaven until we meet again.
