Warren Mitchell Barfield

Warren Mitchell "Mike" Barfield, 63, son of the late Warren L. Barfield and Mary I. Twiford,

passed away in Gulf Breeze, FL on December 5, 2017 after a brief illness.

Mike was born on June 28, 1954 in Sacramento, CA. He was a longtime resident of Niceville

and resided in Navarre. He served in the U.S. Army and spent most of his career as an electrical

contractor. Mike loved hunting and spending time with his extended family and friends at his

camp in Alabama. Anyone who knew Mike also knew about his love of sports, especially

football and he was extremely passionate about his Georgia Bulldogs. His memory of statistics

was remarkable and he was always willing to share his passion with enthusiasts. Although Mike

was as stubborn as they come, he had a huge heart and loved his family and friends. He will be

greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Besides his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his nephew, Kevin Glass, stepfather,

Wallace "Tweety" Twiford and younger brother, Robert "Bob" Barfield. Mike is survived by his

sisters, Lora Glass (Glen) of Niceville, FL and Susie Padgett (David) of Williamsburg, VA as

well as his nephews, Ryan Barfield of Sweden, Jordan Barfield of Elizabeth City, NC, Justin

Padgett of Williamsburg, VA and niece, Parrish Padgett of Williamsburg, VA. He also leaves

behind his best buddy, Champ.

The family invites you to attend a Celebration of Mike’s Life on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at

the Niceville Community Center on 204 Partin Drive, Niceville, FL between 12:00 noon and

2:00 p.m.
