Loving Wife, Mother, and Grandmother
Deanne Elaine Williams, 70, passed away on March 11th at her Niceville home with her loving husband at her bedside. Deanne was born December 2, 1953, in Alexandria, Louisiana, to Howard Arnold and Joy Elaine Barnes. She stayed in Louisiana until she was 16. She then took a bus to Wichita Falls, Texas and lived on Shepherd Air Force Base and graduated high school in 1971 from Burkburnette High School.
Deanne married the love of her life, William “Bill” Cleveland Williams on August 6, 1971 in Wichita Falls, Texas in a little white chapel after a short 4 month courtship. As they built their life together, they traveled to England, Guam, Panama, Egypt and Honduras. In 1986 they settled in Niceville. She began a long career involving many types of management. She worked at DRS for 15 years before retiring. She was a loved coworker and friend.
Deanne and Bill were best friends that shared life, love and tons of laughter and depended on each other side by side each day. On May 30, 1972, they were blessed with a baby girl; Angela.
Deanne loved driving her Firebirds and riding the Harleys, as well as, spending time with family and relaxing with her dog, Rudy Rhett. She was an avid reader, napper, and copilot. Her other hobbies included traveling, shopping, crafting, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents Howard Arnold and Joy Elaine Barnes.
She is survived by her loving husband Bill, daughters, Angela (David) and Dwana (Rob); grandchildren, Steve (Amanda), Daniel, and Alisha; sister and brother in laws, Carl (Jenny), Elta, and Dallas (April); nieces and nephews, Brandy (Phillip), Robbie (Autumn), Wesley, Kera, and Kyle; great nieces and nephews, Cole, Presley Kate, Madison, Allyson, Sarah (Isaiah), and Connor; and many friends.
Deanne will be dearly missed and remembered for her love, strong will, compassion, fast cars, (particularly Firebirds), and fighting spirit.
Services to honor and celebrate Deanne will be held at Heritage Gardens on March 21, at 11:00AM. Visitation will be at 10:00AM. Interment will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery located at the Naval Air Station Pensacola March 22, at 11:00AM.
