David Burch Jones, well known to his many friends as DJ, joined us in our lives on June 21, 1988 and went home to Heaven to be with his grandparents and God on November 9, 2012. He was a lifelong resident of Niceville, Miramar Beach and Okaloosa Island, Florida. An avid fisherman, paddle boarder and surfer, he loved the waters of the gulf, the bay and the sound. He felt deeply honored to work with the Amvets at Post 78 in Valparaiso. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dr. Gerald B. and Mary E. Gill of Valparaiso, FL, and Dr. Herman D. and June K. Jones of Atlanta, GA. He is survived by his parents, Sharon Gill Jones and Doug Jones of Niceville, FL. Everyone who ever knew him will miss his warm smile, his generous heart and his loving soul.
