Alice M Nilsen

Alice M. Nilsen, age 86, of Niceville, Florida, passed away in Huntsville, Alabama, on August 5, 2018, following a short battle with cancer. She was born on September 1, 1931, in Brooklyn, New York, and moved to Niceville in 1974.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick A. Nilsen and her parents, John and Anna. Survivors include her two children, Frederick J. (Debra) Nilsen and Elizabeth Nilsen; three grandchildren Baron (Erin) Medlen, Corey (Emily) Medlen and Allison Nilsen (Alec) Bauman; great-granddaughters, Magnolia May and Evelyn Grace.

Alice was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed traveling to Huntsville, AL to visit with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Alice treasured spending time with friends and extended family. She loved celebrating every holiday, especially Christmas. One of her biggest thrills was having the opportunity to stand directly above an operating nuclear reactor while taking a tour of Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant with her son in the early 90’s. Her wit and humor will be missed by all.
