Ben was a Vietnam Veteran, where he proudly served his country. After returning from Vietnam, Ben settled in Mossy Head, Florida, where he raised his family. Ben worked as an insurance salesman for 30 years. After retiring, he went to work with Daffney and Ken, operating heavy equipment and overseeing the day to day operations of the company.
Ben was an avid outdoorsman, hunting and fishing every opportunity he had. He was very skilled in both. He would load up even when he was sick, never missing the thrill of hearing his dogs bark on the trail of a deer. That was his happy place. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family and teaching them how to live a blessed life. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Our family would like to extend our appreciation to Ascension Hospice for all of their comfort, love, and support.
There will be a time for visitation on Thursday, January 2, beginning at 12pm at Heritage Gardens Funeral Home, 2201 N Partin Drive, Niceville, FL. The Funeral service will begin at 1pm with interment to follow in Mossy Head Cemetery.
