Doyle Crain

Doyle Crain, the best husband, daddy and pawpaw, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 11, 2019, at his home.

Doyle was 80 years old, born March 29, 1939 in Niceville, FL to Buster and Bertha Crain. Doyle had 5 siblings, Johnny Ray Crain (Betty), Mary Albright (Roy), Dean Nutter (Bob), George Crain (Johnnie), Reat Vabrinskas and sister-in-law, Bell Crain.

Doyle was preceded in death by children, Randy Perry and Sharlene Caproni. Doyle is survived by his wife of 38 years, Shirley Chason Crain of Niceville, FL, sons; Johnny Crain and Ben Harvard and his very loved grandchildren, Tyler Harvard and Ashlynn Harvard.

Doyle was a Choctawhatchee High School attendee and a member of the United States Army.

He began his long career at Eglin Golf Course as a caddy, and then was employed fulltime as a Greens Keeper and finished out his career with them as the Greens Superintendent. Shortly after retiring, Doyle went to work with Sand piper Cove as Golf Course tender.

A Memorial service will be held at Heritage Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, August 15, 2019 beginning at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the charity of your choice.
