Hyatt, Duane A of Niceville, FL age 77 passed away unexpectedly on 29 Aug 2019.
He was born in Hibbing, MN on 04 Oct 1941. He was preceded in death by parents, Thad and Pearl (Nelson) Hyatt; Sisters; Ardis Hyatt, Lavonne (Hyatt) Cyr, Kay Hyatt and Betty (Hyatt) Gustafson. He is survived by his daughter, Kim Hyatt of Ormond Beach, FL and son Thomas Hyatt of Niceville, FL, siblings Thad (Carol) Hyatt, Robert (Bonnie) Hyatt and sister Joan (Hyatt) Zelinski, with many nieces and nephews
He served his country for 24 years in the US Air Force and continued with 20 years of civil service. Duane was a member of the American Legion Post 221 in Niceville, Florida. Duane served as Commander of AMVETS POST 78 and Served several years as First Vice and continued his lifetime membership of service to fellow members of the armed forces as a leader in AMVETS. He will be very missed and not forgotten by scores of Close Friends. “OH NO” Who Said That - Wasn’t Me!”
There will be a time of visitation held on Friday, September 6, 2019 at Heritage Gardens Funeral Home from 1-2pm with Funeral service beginning at 2pm. Interment with Military Honors will follow the service in Heritage Gardens Cemetery. Following interment, a Celebration of Life will commence at AMVETS Post 78, 910 Valastics Ave Valparaiso, FL 32580.
