Gay Kathleen Ross went home to the Lord, on October 29, 2019, at the age of 84.

Kathy Ross was born on May 24, 1935, in North Fork, MO, to the late Walter Elige Bearden and Ruth Olive May Elder.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Vernon Ross of Ft. Walton Beach, FL.,   She is survived by her 2 sons and 2 daughters, Vernon Ross of Ft, Walton Beach FL, Ronald Ross of Tallahassee. FL, Deborah Ross Hahn of Niceville, FL. Sandra Ross Takeuchi of Riverside, CA, whom she loved very much.  Kathy Ross was blessed with 8 loving Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren with one on the way.   She will always be an influence in their lives, in part, by the way she lived her life and her tender loving care.

Kathy Ross spent most of her childhood in Missouri, Arkansas, and Michigan with her family of sharecroppers.  She had 5 older brothers Teddie, Edward, Paul, Robert, and Vonnie Bearden.  She was married for 53 years to Lee V Ross, a Navy WWII / Air Force Veteran of 20 years.  She was a homemaker and she traveled with her husband and family abroad to Scotland, Biloxi, MS, Oklahoma City, OK, Duluth, MN, after which retired in Niceville, FL.  She also attended Okaloosa Walton Jr. College earning a Certificate in Graphics and Printing.  She went on to work at Standord Printing and CompuCover in Ft. Walton Beach.  She loved to sew, knit, crochet, cross-stitch, play games on her computer, and going to the YMCA for swimming class where she made many lady friends whom she loved spending time with.  The loves of her life were her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

Kathy Ross, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, will be missed but never forgotten.
