James Knox Summitt

James Knox Summitt of Niceville, FL, formerly of Searcy, AR died 21/07/2019.  He was born December 5th, 1934 in Searcy, AR to the late Dr. William Knox Summitt and Alevia Maurine Burch Summitt.  He is a retired Rear Admiral, U.S. Navy and a retired physician.

He is survived by his son William Stanton Summitt of Niceville, FL; an adopted son, Jeffrey Scott Summitt of LaJolla, CA.

There will a time of visitation held from 9-10am on Friday, August 2, 2019, at Heritage Gardens Funeral Home, 2201 Partin Drive N., Niceville, FL. Memorial services will begin at 10am with Deacon Gary McBride officiating. Interment with Military honors will follow in Heritage Gardens Cemetery.
