Lesley “Reid” Stevens, age 26, died unexpectedly on 30 September 2018, from a massive stroke. Reid was born in Fort Walton Beach, FL on 23 January 1992, to Lisa Renee Stevens. Reid graduated from Fort Walton Beach High School in 2010. After graduation, Reid worked in the service industry, where he truly shone, with his beaming smile and infectious laugh. Reid was truly a “people” person and loved to make those around him laugh. Reid loved music which led him to create a Facebook group “Fighting for Fridays” where people could share their favorite songs with other followers. Reid also loved gaming. He made multiple friends in the gaming community. He was a beautiful soul and had a huge heart for others.
Reid is survived by his mother, Lisa Cronin (John); his sister Ashley Cronin; his Aunt, Robin Chase and her husband Michael; Uncle, Les Stevens and his wife Jeannette; his Great Aunt, Blanche Reid Boyles; and his Great Aunt, Patricia Reid Webster; his cousin, Steven Paul Bebout, with whom he had a very special bond; his “brother from another mother” Bill Bates and countless family and friends. He is preceded in death by his Memaw, Audry Reid Stevens; his grandfather, Richard Eugene Stevens and his Uncle, Paul Edward Bebout.
A celebration of Reid’s life will be held at First Baptist Church, Fort Walton Beach, FL, Saturday, 6 October 2018 at 2 pm. The family requests that all in attendance please bring your smiles, best stories and memories of Reid. In lieu of flowers, the family also requests donations be made to the American Heart Association, but more than that his wish would be that we would all just be kind to one another.
