Loretta Bain Obituary

Loretta Clark Bain, Lide (Brown) of Fort Walton Beach, 88, went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 5, 2019.

She was preceded in death by her father Simeon Brown, Mother; Sarah Brown, son; Robert Townsend, Husbands; Robert Clark, William Bain, and Frank Lide, 7 Siblings, Niece Sharon O Toole. She was the last surviving child of Simeon and Sarah.

She is survived by her children; Ronald Townsend, Richard Townsend and Linda Allabaugh; Grandchildren; Andrea (Neil) Thompson and Chantelle (Christopher) Taylor, Great-Grandchildren; Christopher Thompson, Cody Thompson, Sarah Taylor, and  Dakota Taylor as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was born in Portland, Florida and was raised up on Rocky Bayou and Niceville with all of her siblings. It was a hard life for her and her family, but she always had very fond memories of her life and enjoyed sharing them with her family and loved ones.

She had a large family and enjoyed a strong bond of love with everyone of them. She was a very amazing woman and was loved by everyone she met and came in contact with. She was a very devoted wife and mother and would move mountains for her children if she could.

She had several passions in life. She loved to sew and was very good at it. It was a talent that was passed down by her mother. Like her mother, she like to quilt and was always willing to teach anyone who wanted to learn.

She also had a fondness for fishing and gardening. She always had her flowerbeds and vegetable gardens. She had some beautiful gardens. She was always out with her family on the waters of Okaloosa and Walton Counties. She always tried to pass down these things to her family.

She loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was always imposing on them the importance an education is and to always do their very best.

She loved spending time with her family and friends. She always had a meal on the table if anyone were to show up.

Christmas and Easter were always her favorite time of the year. She will be surely missed by all who loved her.
