MSgt (Ret.) Malcolm M. Walker
1932 – 2018
Born April 19th, 1932 in Loraine, Texas, he passed away peacefully on Monday July 9th with his three sons at his home’s bedside.
From the flatlands of west Texas to the sub-space reaches of earth’s atmosphere as a navigator (co- pilot) on a high-altitude B-57 bomber, Malcolm always had a positive attitude and influence on all he met. Imagine that in this day and age; people wanting to be around you because of being yourself instead of being someone else. Priceless.
Malcolm was preceded in passing by his loving wife of 56 years, Mary Sue, brothers Ralph, Charley, and Dewey. He is survived by his three sons, Malcolm, Chuck, and John. Also, brothers Gene and Robert, the most beautiful sister Minnie Mae Bradford, and the most beautiful sister-in law Jan Walker. Grandchildren Malcolm III, Matthew, Misty Franz (Jimmy), Amber Childers (Josh), Emily Hamm (Kevin), and his two favorite Marines, Marcus and Jordan, many nieces and nephews along with 8 great-grandchildren.
Full Military Honors Services will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, July 16th at Heritage Gardens in Niceville. Remembrance and Commitment Services will be conducted by long-time family friend Pastor Larry Boldin of Striving for Perfection Ministries and Chaplain Tom Baez of Vitas Hospice Care. All are welcome to celebrate Malcolm’s exemplary life and send-off to Glory.
