With great sadness the family of Ray Donald Byrd Jr. announce his passing on Sunday, May 20, 2018. Don was predeceased by his father Ray D. Byrd Sr. but will be lovingly remembered by his mother Hallie Rose Byrd, his siblings Debra, Aaron, Richard, and Mary Theresa (Burt Gustafson), as well as nieces and nephews. Donald’s family will be forever grateful for the love and joy his partner Carrie Lynn Mitchell brought to his life.

Donald was best known for his creative photography and quirky sense of humor. Don spent his professional life in service, first as an EMT (instrumental in establishing the first ambulance/fire depart. in Walton County). He later became a Nurse, working in Cardiac Care. Donald ended his career life as a Pharmacy Tech at CVS Pharmacy.

The Byrd family will honor Donald’s wishes for a direct cremation and private memorial.
