Sybil Roberts Sellers was called home by her heavenly Father on October 29,2019. Born in Homestead, FL on March 26, 1942 to parents, James and Lillian Roberts, she grew up with a love for the Lord and a strong work ethic. At 18, Sybil married and began a new life as the wife of a USAF serviceman. With each of many military moves, she worked hard to settle her husband and children into their new home and establish new friendships. Sybil stayed busy as a homemaker, teaching herself how to bake, knit, sew, and decorate beautiful cakes for family and friends. She volunteered at her children’s schools, taught Sunday school, Vacation Bible school, and sang in the church choir for many years. She also worked with the Red Cross and the Council on Aging.
Sybil always looked for ways to serve, but spending time with, and shopping for, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her the greatest joy. "Mamaw" went to great lengths to make sure each of them felt loved and very special.
Sybil was preceded in death by her son, Timothy M. Sellers. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, CMSgt. Vic Sellers, daughters Lynne (Skip) Ellsworth, Cindi (Bill) Snowden, daughter-in-law Victoria Sellers, grandchildren Josh, Jonathan, Lauren, Lindsay, Timothy, Anna, and Olivia Sellers, great-grandchildren Noah, Mackenzie, and Connor, as well as sister, Carol Snowden.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel at Heritage Gardens Funeral Home in Niceville at 11am Saturday, November 2, 2019. Family will receive friends one-hour prior. Interment will immediately follow in Heritage Gardens Cemetery.
