Tommy Howard Teel

Tommy Teel, 76, of Valparaiso, Florida passed away on January 23, 2018 in Niceville, Florida. Tommy was born in Opp, Alabama to Howard and Tula Teel on December 9, 1941. He married Kay on December 20, 1964 in Valparaiso, Florida. Tommy graduated from Choctawhatchee High School in 1960 and Troy State University in 1964. He worked as a mathematician for the Civil Service at Eglin Air Force Base for 42 years. Tommy was a deacon for First Baptist Church Valparaiso.

Tommy is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Dwight Teel.

Tommy is survived by wife, Kay, and two sons, Scott and wife Aimee, Chris and wife Sandy. Tommy was a very loving and great “Papa” and “Pop” to his grandchildren Hannah and Ryan Teel and Sarah Myles. He is also survived by two sisters-in-law; Sue and husband Bruce Damm of Fort Walton Beach, and Jane DiLoreto and late husband Tom of Fleming Island as well as one niece and three nephews.

Memorials may be given to the charity of your choice. Tommy’s family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Blankenship, Dr. Hsiang and the Emerald Coast Cancer Center Staff.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018 from 10:00 – 11:00am with a Funeral service starting at 11:00am at the First Baptist Church of Valparaiso with Reverend Earnest Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers are the Deacons of First Baptist Church of Valparaiso.
