Adrienne Claire Dildine, born on January 3, 1934, in Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2025. She was the beloved daughter of William and Leota Hoag.
Adrienne graduated from Worthington High School in 1951 and soon after embarked on a remarkable journey as the devoted wife of Chuck Dildine for an extraordinary 72 years. As a military wife for 21 of those years, Adrienne demonstrated resilience and grace while supporting her family through numerous moves and challenges.
Adrienne had a zest for life and a competitive spirit that shone brightly on the golf course, where she achieved the rare feat of three holes-in-one. She also found joy in quilting, playing bridge with friends, and doting on her cherished cat, Smokey. Her philosophy of life was summed up in her own words: "She lived, she loved, she died."
Adrienne was preceded in death by her son, Jim. She is survived by her loving husband Chuck; daughters Janet Dildine and Julie Sachs; son Joe Dildine; grandsons Ryan Dildine, Spencer Sachs, Clayton Sachs, and Andrew Sachs; and great-granddaughters Kailey Dildine, Paige Dildine, and Hannah Dildine.
Adrienne’s legacy of love and strength will live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those who mourn her passing.
