Allen Arthur Phillips passed on 7 September 2023. Allen was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend to all that knew him. Allen was born in Milwaukee, WI on 30 July 1947. Allen served in and retired from the United States Air Force and was a proud veteran and patriot of this great country. Allen was a hard working, selfless, kind heart who always placed others before himself. He loved his family, including his church family, he loved collecting different things like baseball cards, marbles, bells, books, and figurines. He loved to make people laugh. His kindness, leadership and love will be deeply missed by all.
Allen is preceded in death by his parents, Chester Arthur Phillips and Elaine Mary Phillips, brother, Tommy Phillips, in-laws, Royal Kilgore and Nina Kilgore, brother-in-law, John Meir, and sister-in-law, Judy Hitchcock.
Allen is survived by his loving wife of nineteen years, Carrie Eugenia Phillips, son, James Philips (wife Teri and two daughters, Myra and family, and Kali and family) and daughter Tracy Strahan (husband Lloyd and son Troy), two brothers, Dick Phillips (wife Sandy) and Ed Phillips (wife Mary), brother-in-law, Jesse Reeves (wife Marie), and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, FL on 14 September 2023 at 11 a.m. We will meet at Olive Baptist Church – Warrington Campus at 10:30 a.m. to go together. The address is: 103 Winthrop Ave., Pensacola, FL. It will be a grave side service. Following the service will have a gathering with food to remember Allen Phillips at Faith Independent Baptist Church, 1309 Valparaiso Blvd., Niceville, FL. Pastor Doug Stauffer will be officiating the service.
