Anthony W White

Anthony Wayne White, age 60, of Freeport, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2023. Tony was born December 22,1962, to Judith Braley in Chicago Heights, Illinois.

Tony joined the United States Air Force in 1980 and was stationed at Hurlburt Field, Florida. While serving his country he was trained and worked as a mechanic. Upon his honorable discharge from the Air Force, he began working in the marine industry. He owned and operated two successful marine mechanic businesses for over 20 years.

Tony loved animals, especially dogs. He enjoyed traveling with his family and always had another trip planned before one trip was over. Family and friends were the most important thing to Tony. He was happiest surrounded by family and friends, especially his two grandchildren: Lawson and Turner. He was an incredibly hard worker, no matter the task. He will be remembered for his generous and big-hearted nature and his willingness to help anyone in need.

He loved NASCAR, scuba diving, Cubs baseball, Michigan University Football, and Dallas Cowboys Football.

He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Kristin White, his children, Kasey Killebrew (Kyle) of Panama City Beach, FL and Chase Peek of Aurora, Colorado, as well as his grandsons, Lawson and Turner Killebrew. He is also survived by his mother, Judith Braley of Toledo, Ohio and his sisters, Jamise Da Barber (Anthony) of Toledo, Ohio and Kimberly Jackson of Milan, Michigan as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Tony was preceded in death by his sister, LaDonna Jackson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Alaqua Animal Refuge Inc. Freeport, Florida in his memory.
