Atsuko Yamada Harvey was peacefully called home by her Lord and Savior on March 15, 2025.
She enjoyed the graceful art of Japanese dance, performing with a group to local International events. She liked reading and singing (in Japanese), playing bingo, and taking occasional trips to Biloxi with friends and family. Her biggest joy was her dog, Taro, meaning “first son” in Japanese.
Atsuko was preceded in death by her husband Melton W. Harvey, Jr. and her beloved friend, Louie (Lou) Judson Williams. Survivors include daughters Deborah Harvey Watson and Jean Harvey, a brother and several sisters in Japan, as well as several nieces and nephews, both here and in Japan. She is also survived by her dearest friend Sueko (Keiko) Fields.
A private service will be held at Heritage Gardens in Niceville, officiated by Reverend Ronnie Bearden. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery in Valparaiso, FL.
