Benjamin “Ben” Arthur Taylor, 84, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2026.
Born on July 24, 1942, in York, Pennsylvania, Ben lived a life marked by dedication, service, and love for his family and community.
At the age of 18, Ben proudly enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving his country with honor for 25 years on active duty. Following his military retirement, he continued his commitment to the mission at Eglin Air Force Base, where he worked another 25 years as a civilian contractor.
Outside of his career, Ben enjoyed spending time bowling and coaching Little League softball. He was an avid sports fan who especially loved watching NFL football and faithfully cheered for his favorite team, the New Orleans Saints. He also enjoyed following English football and many other sporting events.
Ben had a special love for animals, especially dogs, and found great joy in feeding the squirrels that visited his backyard. He will be remembered for his kind heart, quiet dedication, and the simple pleasures that brought him happiness.
Ben is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Angela Taylor, along with an extended family who loved him dearly and will cherish his memory forever.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association in Ben’s honor.
