Betty Sue (Cowan) Pascher, age 96, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 13th. Betty was
born and raised in Southeast Alabama in the small town of Geneva. She will be remembered for
her kindness, strength, and the warmth she brought to everyone who knew her.
Betty lived a long and meaningful life filled with love, family, faith, and cherished memories. She
dedicated her professional career to nursing, where her compassion and steady care touched the
lives of countless patients and families.
She was a founding member of Santa Rosa Beach Community Church and also a founding
member of Santa Rosa Golf & Beach Club, where she formed many lasting friendships and
contributed greatly to her community.
In her later years, Betty resided at Hawthorn House at Air Force Enlisted Village located in
Shalimar, Florida, where she was surrounded by caring friends and staff who brought comfort
and companionship to her life.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clyde Pascher, and by her brothers, Sonny
and Frank Cowan.
Betty will be greatly missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends, especially her
nephew, Bobby Cowan, who lovingly served as her caregiver for the past 12 years. A beloved
aunt, family member, and friend, she leaves behind a legacy of compassion, faith, and love that
will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her. A celebration of Betty's life will be held 11am on Tuesday, June 9th at the Santa Rosa Beach Community Church. The celebration will be followed by burial of ashes in the Memorial Gardens beside the church then lunch in the Fellowship Hall.
