Bobby Farmer, born on November 29, 1932, in Charlotte, NC, passed away on February 16, 2025. He was the son of William and Annie Farmer.
Bobby dedicated 20 years of service to the United States Air Force, where he specialized in electrical generation. Following his military career, he continued his work in power generation for another two decades with the City of Dover, Delaware.
Beyond his professional life, Bobby had a passion for fishing and boating. He enjoyed watching westerns, listening to country music, and exploring technology through computers. His faith played a significant role in his life, leading him to engage in church missionary work and volunteer efforts with organizations such as the Red Cross, Salvation Army, and Habitat for Humanity.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Bettie Helen Farmer; his sons, Bobby Ray Farmer (Teresa Kinsey), William Jeffery Farmer (Lisa Podis Farmer), and Michael Gregory Farmer (Elizabeth Marie Farmer); brother, Tom Farmer of Niceville, FL; sister, Carol Peeks of Charlotte, NC; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Shalimar, FL on April 12, 2025, and will be officiated by Pastor Eric Klemme. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Shalimar, FL.
