Bruce Richmond of Niceville, Florida passed away at home on August 21, 2023.
Bruce had a 25 year-long career in the United States Air Force, during which he served in Vietnam. After retiring, he began a new chapter. He was a 32nd Degree Mason.
Bruce was very active in the American Legion Post 221 in Niceville, serving in many different positions. He also traveled throughout Florida with the 40/8 Club.
Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Hedwig (Heidi); daughters Patricia Hudson and Mary (Reese) Monson, both of Choctaw Beach, Florida, Brenda (David) Thurmond-McClintock of Land O' Lakes, Florida; sons Bruce W. Richmond of Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, Kirk L. Richmond of Centre Hall, Pennsylvania, and Erwin Thurmond of Auburndale, Florida; brother Daniel (Linda) Richmond of Sebring, Florida; sisters Marion "Toot" (Neal) Brown of Canada and Nancy Richmond-McKenzie of Sebring, Florida; seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
