Butch Wood

Judson "Butch" Anthony Wood, age 80, passed away July 29, 2022. Most knew him as Butch. He was born on January 16, 1942, in Winfield, AL to Eddie and Gladys Wood. He was preceeded in death by his parents, wife Sharron, and sister Sue.

Butch is survived by his son David, sister Vicky and her husband Johnny, brother Rick and and his wife Vivian, plus many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Butch served in the United States Army and was a helicopter mechanic. He worked for Vitro Services, a military contractor for Eglin Air Force Base for many years. He retired from the City of Niceville. During his employment with the City of Niceville, he was chosen as employee of the year for the Works Department. Butch collected trains and enjoyed boating, floundering, crabbing and going to the beach.

A time of visitation will be held on Tues, August 9th from 1:00 to 2:00 PM with a funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM, at Heritage Gardens Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Heritage Gardens Cemetery.
