Carol Wilson Obituary

Carol Ann (Babylon) Wilson passed away on August 28, 2024, surrounded by her family and friends, following a brief illness. Carol was born and raised in Westminster, Maryland. She later was a long time resident of New Jersey, working as an Assistant Comptroller of American international Group in New York City before retiring to Niceville, Florida with her husband, Jim Wilson, in 2020. She was twice elected to the county commission in Ocean County, New Jersey.

Carol’s life revolved around her deep and abiding faith, leading her to be an active participant in the Niceville Crosspoint Church’s Prayer Team. Carol’s faith was the foundation of her interactions with everyone she encountered. Carol was an avid music fan, including country, rock, and symphonic music and was a member of the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra Chorale. She regularly attended shows and concerts with her husband and friends. Carol and her husband Jim were active and involved members of the American Legion and the VFW, and she participated in a number of charitable events for these organizations.

Carol is survived by her husband and love of her life Jim Wilson, her son Eric Carlson, her beloved grandchildren Madilyn, Katelyn, Natalie, and Michael Carlson, her brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Erin Gunsiorowski, her brother and sister-in-law, Kevin and Cathy Wilson, along with her beloved nieces and nephews Timothy Babylon and his wife Tartar of Thailand, Bridget, Michael, James, Sharon, Meaghan, Shannon, and Kiera.
