Cary Brady Faile, age 93, passed away on October 7, 2023. He was born in Kershaw, South Carolina. Cary entered the military in 1945 at age 15 after graduating one year early in high school. He retired in 1974 after serving 29 years and 2 months. During his time in the military, Cary started as a jet engine mechanic and later cross trained in working with missiles. He also worked on the Saturn, Atlas and Gemini space programs, which he helped send John Glenn, first man that went into space.
After retirement, Cary became an avid golfer for many years, being a longtime member of the RBCC, as well as the Elks Lodge, American Legion and the Am Vets. Cary was a devoted husband to Dorothy for over 60 years until her passing and devoted father to Betty, Marty and Marsha.
Just when he thought his life was over, he met a wonderful woman, Linda, who he traveled far and wide, including Europe, celebrating WWII Veterans as well as Pearl Harbor.
