On December 24, 2025, Charles “Chuck” N. Dildine passed away peacefully at his home in Niceville, Florida, surrounded by his beloved daughters, Julie and Janet, and his adored cats, Smokey, Poppy, and Zelda. He was born July 18, 1931, in Columbus, Ohio, to Chester Arnold and Flossie Anthea (Miller) Dildine. Chuck joined the United States Air Force in 1951 and married his high school sweetheart, Adrienne Claire Hoag, in July 1953. He served 20 years in the Air Force as an F-104 Starfighter Pilot and retired in December 1971. Chuck was the loving father of 4 (Jim, Julie, Janet, Joe), grandfather of 4 (Andrew, Clayton, Spencer, Ryan), and great-grandfather of 3 (Hannah, Paige, Kailey). He was a long-time member of the Quiet Birdmen, enjoyed working in his yard, creating original wood trains and furniture, and was an avid fisherman, proud of catching 2 8-lb large-mouth bass. Chuck lived a full, satisfying life and was thankful to have a wonderful family, dear friends, and kind, generous neighbors.
