Charlotte Maier passed away peacefully at her home in Niceville, Florida on Saturday, October 25, 2025. She was born on June 26, 1931, in Brooklyn, New York to Anton Maier, Sr. and Philomena (Kretzler) Maier.
Charlotte enjoyed her time in the U.S. Air Force as a photographer. She was stationed at Eglin Air Force Base when she retired as a Master Sergeant in 1976. Charlotte enjoyed traveling with Barbara Snyder, her best friend of almost 80 years. They traveled around Europe and the United States, visiting friends and family. Charlotte gave her best to all she had endeavored and was a meticulous hard worker. She was loved dearly and will be missed by her friends and family.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her father, Anton Maier, Sr., mother Philomena (Kretzler) Maier, brother Anton Marier, Jr., sister Philomena (Maier) Rustay, and nephew Richard Maier, Sr. She is survived by Barbara Snyder, her niece Christine (Rustay) Silva and husband Edward Silva, grandniece Michelle Gryczkoski and her son Jessie Gryczkoski, grandnephew Craig Harper, grandnephew Richard Maier, Jr. and wife Heather Maier, great-grandniece Lauren Maier, grandnephew Michael Maier and wife Shannon Maier, great-grandniece Caylin Maier, and great-grandniece Kelley Maier.
A graveside service with military honors will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025 at 10:00am at Sunset Cemetery in Valparaiso, Florida.
