Cheryl Darlene Green

On the morning of August 1, 2022, Cheryl Darlene (Farley) Green of Niceville, Florida passed away peacefully in her home at the age of 73.    

Cheryl was born in Daytona Beach, Florida to Darrell E. Farley and Doris V. Kennedy.  In 1970, Cheryl married the love of her life, Gary Green and together they raised two daughters, Stacey and Amy.   After receiving her degree, Cheryl worked as a nurse as her family moved with her husband’s military service.  Upon settling in Niceville, Cheryl became office manager for Dr. Gerald Belue for over 20 years.  In 1999 she and her husband started A+Airport Shuttle and together built it into a very respected and successful business until she retired in 2015.  Her greatest achievement was being the most devoted wife, mother, and “Nana” the world has ever seen. 

Cheryl is preceded in death by her father, Darrell, mother Doris, and her beloved daughter Amy E. Purvis.  She is survived by her husband of 53 years Gary, daughter Stacey Coleman (Wes), brother Darrell Farley, Jr. (June), son in law Craig Purvis, granddaughter Jordan Green (Pablo), and her grandsons Jacob Woolum and Justin Purvis.  She is also survived by the lights of her life, her great grand babies Annelyse, Adalynne and Ashton Jay.  She also had a large extended family in Florida and Oklahoma, as well as a lifetime of wonderful friends. 

Cheryl (Nana) will be remembered for her kind, generous heart, loving spirit and wonderful sense of humor.  She was the sun in her family’s universe and the person her whole family went to for advice, support and unconditional love.  Her family is so grateful to all who have been a comfort to them in dealing with this devastating loss.  Nana is in heaven holding hands with Amy, protecting us all until we meet again.
