Daniel F Price

Daniel Forest Price, age 90, of Valparaiso, Florida peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 13,2019, following a long illness. 

Daniel was born in Bay Minette Alabama on July 8, 1929. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Johnnie Price, brothers; Rudolph, Jack, Donald and Bill and sister Betty Ehler. He is survived by his wife Sara of 68 years, sons, Bruce and his wife Judy, Stan and his fiancé Su, and Roger.  Grandchildren Danielle Jacka and fiancé Brian Wilson, Ashley and Timmy Sallee, SPC Robert L Price of Fort Bragg NC, Justin and Amanda Price of Clarksville, TN, Anna Price of Orlando FL, Christa Richardson of Washington, DC and Jeffery Collins of Go ulster, VA.  Great Grandchildren, Lillian Elizabeth Jacka, Trentyn Dale and Turner Daniel Sallee and Jace Thomas Collins.

Dan retired as a Chief Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force after 26 years of service.  Following his service to his country he continued to serve the local community and retired from Okaloosa County after 10 years. 

Uncle Dan, as he was often called, was an avid outdoorsman, hunter and fisherman.  While he was a fixture on the t-pier of Tom’s Bayou he also spent many hours in the woods deer hunting; however, his true passion was the pursuit of the wild turkey. 

A loving husband, father, granddaddy, great-granddaddy, friend and mentor that will be truly missed. 

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 17, 2019 from 5-7 p.m. at Heritage Gardens Funeral Home.  Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, in the funeral home chapel, followed by burial with full military honors at Sunset Cemetery in Valparaiso, Florida.
