Darlene Ann McCullough was lovingly welcomed into this world on September 20, 1937, in Nescopeck, Pennsylvania, born at home to her parents, Frank H. and Laura Davenport. On November 17, 2025, at the age of 88, she left this world peacefully, surrounded by the enduring love of her family.
Darlene earned her high school diploma and completed several college courses throughout her life, always valuing education and personal growth. She went on to build a dedicated 30-year career in civil service with the United States Air Force, proudly supporting the mission of the military community.
Darlene’s greatest joys were found in life’s simple pleasures. She loved gardening, animals, and reading, and she had a special fondness for cruising, the beach, and shopping. Her warm presence and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Barry Leon McCullough; her brother, Ronald F. Davenport; and her parents, Laura and Frank Davenport.
Darlene is survived by her children: Ricky F. McCullough (Mary) of Florala, AL; Susan J. Winterberger of Crestview; Priscilla A. Moore (Richard) of Niceville; and Gregory B. McCullough of St. Petersburg. She is also survived by her sister, Sharon Raup of Crestview; her grandchildren—Tiffany Kennedy, Deanna McCullough, Justin Dockery, Jacob Dockery, Sara Blasberg, Jesse Vincent, Meagan Ross, Lindsay McCullough, and Evan McCullough; And two nieces- Jackie Raup and Rhonda Klinger; and ten cherished great-grandchildren.
A visitation and funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 25, at Heritage Gardens Funeral Home in Niceville. Visitation will begin at 11:00am and the funeral service will commence at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Heritage Gardens Cemetery.
Darlene will be remembered for her kindness, her loyalty, and the love she gave her family. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched.
