Darolyn Weiss

Darolyn Coon Weiss of Niceville, Florida with her children at her side passed away peacefully 11 August 2021.

She was born in Valparaiso, Florida on 17 November 1950. Darolyn returned to Niceville in 1999 from Vero Beach, Florida where she operated Weiss Meats with her husband John. She poured everything she had into her faith, her family, and her friends. She loved gardening and bowling, but her passion was teaching the children in her Sunday school classes about the Lord. Her strength and unrelenting faith through her final days were awe inspiring. The gates of heaven surely opened to a chorus of trumpet laden angels as the throngs of souls she reached awaited to great her. “It’s not just about where I’m going, it’s about making sure everyone knows how to meet me there”, she said often in her final days. Darolyn was a woman cherished by all who met her, and through Jesus Christ our savior you can meet or be reunited with her as well.

She is preceded in death by her husband John Weiss.

She is survived by her children Robin, Jill, Shannon, and Richard. She was a loving grandmother to 6, and great grandmother to 2. The family is forever grateful for the outpouring of love and support given these last weeks from neighbors, friends, and family.

There will be a time of Visitation held from 2:30pm-3:30pm on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at Rosemont Baptist Church with Funeral Service to begin at 3:30pm. Interment will follow in Heritage Gardens Cemetery.
