David L Trice

On Tuesday, March 23, 2021, David Lawrence Trice, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at the age of 83. David was born in Paragould, Arkansas to William and Lucille Trice. He graduated from Paragould High School in 1955, and his hometown always kept a special place in his heart. David received a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Arkansas State University and a Master’s in Hospital Administration from Trinity University. He was passionate about serving his country and served over 26 years in the United States Army, United States Marine Corps, and the United States Air Force, where he worked in hospital administration. In 1975 he married the love of his life, Nancy Trice. David and Nancy had two children, Jasmine and Christopher. After traveling the world via various duty assignments, they moved to Niceville, Florida in 1986 where they raised their children and eventually retired. In 2018 they welcomed their first grandchild, Chris and his wife Pamela’s daughter Emory Luz, who never failed to bring a smile to “Papa’s” face. 

David had many passions and interests in life, including golf, movies, military history, and handyman projects. His faith was extremely important to him and he was a staple in his church community. His biggest love, however, was his family, and they were always first and foremost in his mind.

David was preceded in death by his father, William, and his mother, Lucille. He is survived by his wife Nancy, his two children, Jasmine and Christopher, their spouses Dave and Pamela, his brothers Larry and Bill, his cousin Bill Johnson, several nieces and nephews, and many dear family friends. 

The funeral will be a private service. Instead of flowers, the family prefers that donations be made to the Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church Building Fund, 1200 Valparaiso Blvd., Niceville, FL 32578.
