Donald Evans Dampier, Jr.

Donald Evans Dampier, Jr. went home to be with his Lord & Savior on September 23rd, 2024. Don fought a long and valiant battle against cancer. Don passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family. 

Don retired from the United States Air Force with a rank of Tech Sergeant. Don's military career led him to many places around the world. He was proud of his service to his country and the many lifetime friends that he served with. After his retirement from the military, Don worked several jobs in the boating and fishing community in the Destin area. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting and spending time outdoors. 

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 36 years, Patricia Spruill Dampier; his paternal grandparents, Arthur Evans and Mittie Lou Dampier, and his maternal grandparents, Ralph and Doretha Walden. He is survived by his parents, Donald E., Sr. and Gail Dampier; sibling David Dampier (Diana); three sons, Michael Dampier, Christopher Dampier, and Brian Dampier; three grandchildren, Rayna Dampier, Nathan Dampier, and Bailey Dampier; two nieces, Denise Dampier and Dominique Chambers (Matthew); one great-nephew, Luke Chambers; and three aunts and several cousins. 

In lieu of flowers, Don asked for donations to be made in his name to Tunnels to Towers Foundation.
