Donald R. Parnell

Donald R. Parnell, born in Gastonia, North Carolina, June 11, 1968, passed at home July 17, 2022. Donald served in the U.S. Army 75th Infantry, but finished as an Air-born Ranger, in the 82nd.  He was one of the best, and well known, HVAC contractors in the entire Panhandle.  Don was kind to everyone he ever met and would help anyone who was in need. He was an avid Poker player and dreamed of being at the final table with his favorite players. Donald is preceded in death by his parents, Larry E. Parnell and Sarah Kathryn Parnell, and two grandchildren. He is survived by his spouse, Dawn Parnell; his sons Stephen (Sheila) Wilson and Daniel (Milissa) Wilson; daughters Jordan (Bill) Tregaski and Katie Parnell; thirteen grandchildren; sister Toni (Robert) Dieckmann; brother Martin (Laura) Maitlan; two nieces; one nephew; and two grandnieces. A Memorial Service will be held 6:30 PM, Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at Rosemont Baptist Church in Niceville.
