Dorothy Mae "Dottie" Sellers, was born October 29, 1925, in Trenton, New Jersey and a longtime resident of Niceville, Florida, joined Our Heavenly Father on June 24th, 2021.
She was a dedicated Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother to many, although her family extends to a countless number of homes and hearts that she touched all through her life. She dedicated her life to the Lord and serving Him with her entire heart. Of her many accomplishments as a devoted member of her community she proudly served the American Legion Auxiliary and led the Women's division as an officer for many years... forging her way to Tallahassee with her group to speak for women & children issues. She was a devout member of St. Judes Episcopal Church as a Sunday School teacher,, Nursery Administrator and coordinated many events that brought the members together through prayer groups and social activities. Her greatest joy was her work volunteering with Caring & Sharing & her heart fulfillment years as a volunteer with Covenant Hospice since the early 80s. The many lives she touched brought her immense joy. Mom was a giver. She babysat & nurtured countless children thru her working years as well as seniors that she assisted with dedication & love. Many of whom have kept her in their lives as adults. Thank you for all the wonderful memories you gave her.
Predeceased by her husband's Clarence Newcomb (Zeke) Lore & Harold L. (Bud) Davis, , precious daughter, Jo Ann Lore, Beloved Son, Clarence Gilbert Lore, son, Harold Davis, sister, Mildred Neborsky brother Lynn Sellers, and her beloved aunt Betty Baer. Grandchildren, Marie Lore, Dustin Lore and precious Patricia Lynn Perkins to whom she gave countless hours as a child. Her DIL Susie Webber. (Lore)
Survived by her sons & daughters, Albert L. Lore wife Leah, Patricia (Lore) Buchanan husband Jim, Mary Louise (Davis) Riggins, Henry, James wife Alex, John wife Cindy & Keith partner Doris... Davis. Her sister & SIL, Carol & David Morris. Dedicated Granddaughter Debbie Hutchinson & husband Randy ..she was mom mom to her & their children Stephanie & Amber. Her grands Ava & Christain were pure love to her. Many grands & family members, nieces, nephews on both sides of the family tree she never was fortunate to spend time with but were upheld in her heart of hearts spread over the U.S.A. Her grand daughter, Stacey Mae, Pumpkin, (Bennett)Perkins resided with "her granny" & was taught the Love of Jesus & many values of life as a wee child & into her school & formulative years. Their devotion to one another reflected the many years they shared with each other. Seeing them together was magic & forever. Thank you mom for shaping her future years as a woman, wife & mother to Patricia Lynn (Tricia) Perkins, Antonio Bradford Rios & Nicholas Aaron Rios. They all were devoted to moms happiness & well being showering her with love love.
She was also a Nana, sister and friend to Ritchie & Becky Garrison & Amy & Scooter who gave her such love all the years she resided in Niceville & Destin with her daughter. She had a fierce love for them. Forever blessed by them & their devotion to mama. Special TY to cousin Janice Sellers for countless hours devoted in an attempt to locate my brother, Raymond Lawrence Lore for her. Thank you to the Fox family "Ritz" for always making her feel included, respected & loved over the years in Destin. Peace Be With You my friends.
To all whom loved her for all that she was to so many, please raise a glass of your favorite beverage with remembrance of the memories she leaves and the glory of her soul in our hearts. Sing songs to Heaven & know that she is in the Eternal Peace that she brought to so many. Mom always knew the sun will come out tomorrow if you just believed.
