Doug Stark, a beloved father, grandfather, husband and friend passed away peacefully at age 79.
He was pre-deceased by his parents, Edward and Geraldine Stark and survived by his loving wife, Rosemary, son Gordon (Stephanie), granddaughters Macormic and Sawyer Stark and his sister Elaine Shaw. He also leaves behind a myriad of in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Doug was born and raised in Brighton, NY attending Brighton High School and later Byrant University in Rhode Island, studying accounting.
He was interested in Finance from a young age and eventually entered into a career at Harris Corporation, where he retired as the VP of Studio Products and Systems.
One of Doug’s passions was boating, owning several sea worthy vessels of the years. He enjoyed sailing on Lake Ontario, the Choctawhatchee Bay and the Gulf in Florida with his first mate, Molly (his dog) always willing to accompany him on a watery adventure.
Doug was an avid animal rescuer. Over the years he enhanced the lives of many canine and feline companions, most currently Stella.
He will be missed by his immediate and extended families and friends for not just his financial acumen, but also for his wit and unfailing support.
