Elizabeth Anne Petrey

Elizabeth Anne Petrey, 84 years of age, passed away peacefully at her home, on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.

Elizabeth was born January 9, 1939, in Augusta, Georgia to the late Ted and Frances Atwood.  Elizabeth graduated from High School in Augusta, Georgia in 1954.  She attended the University of Alabama and graduated in 1958 from the school of Dental Hygiene.

Elizabeth is proceeded in death by her parents, Ted and Frances Atwood, and her brother the Rev. Ted. Atwood (USN).

Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Dr. Paul A. Petrey and her two children: Son, Paul A. Petrey III and wife (Pamela), and daughter, Patty A. King and husband (Tony).  She has three grandchildren, Paisley and Stephanie Petrey and Ethan King.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Panhandle Animal Welfare Society, Fort Walton Beach or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Memphis, TN.

A memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 am on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at St. Jude’s Episcopal Church, Niceville, Florida.  A reception in her memory will follow the service in the Church Parish Hall.
