Dad
He was a simple man with simple tastes. His favorite place to be was home, and his favorite thing to do was play poker with his family. Cheeseburgers and french fries was his favorite meal. He was always true to himself, and never cared about others opinions of him. People who took the time to know him usually appreciated his acerbic wit. Sometimes he could be too honest. He was generous, and he was frugal. He once gave a car to a struggling student, but he would unplug the coffee pot each morning to save on electricity. He was retired more years than he worked, and spent his retired years golfing (hitting 6 hole in ones!) and watching the stock market. He was a man of routine. He never wore a watch after retiring from UPS, but he was early to everything. He marveled about how lucky he was in life, and we were lucky to be a part of his. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, and will be missed by his wife, daughter, stepson and daughter-in-law, grandchildren and many friends.
