Gunilla Christine Anderson

Gunilla Christine Anderson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on August 26, 2026 at the age of 89 ultimately succumbing to the disease dementia. She was born on September 27, 1936, to Gustaf and Alma Nelson in Holley, Fl. 

Christine lived a full and creative life. She worked as a legal secretary and enjoyed many passions and accomplishments, including modeling, playing golf, crafting, and painting. She was known as a crafting queen and talented artist, and she brought creativity and joy into the lives of those around her. Above all, Christine treasured her family and the memories they made together.

She was preceded in death by her husband, (Judge Joseph Anderson), parents (Gustaf and Alma Nelson), brothers (Cranford Nelson, N.G, Kenneth, F.N., & Darrell Nelson) sisters (Tilly Stevens, Trudel Cobb, Bertha Edwards, & Orie Marler).

Christine is survived by her sisters, Gussie Elmore and Audrey Walters; her daughter, Lynda Anderson; her grandchildren, Lilly & Michael Cheney (children Ellie 7, Michael 3, Curry 6 months), Olyvia Anderson (children Skye 16, Autumn 11, & Fayth 10) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Christine will be remembered for her creativity, warmth, strength, and love of family. Her life touched many people, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was and always will be remembered as the “Life of the Party.”
