Hazel Genette Taylor, born January 25, 1942, in Hartford, Alabama, to Richard Thompson and Bessie Shipes, passed away peacefully at her home on April 13, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Hazel was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of all who knew her. She was a woman of fierce independence. She loved the Lord deeply and was a devoted member of First United Pentecostal Church in Niceville, where she found strength, joy, and fellowship with her church family. Her life was a testament to her unwavering belief in God and her commitment to living a life of grace and service.

Hazel’s memory will be cherished by her son, Daniel (Darlene) Taylor; her grandchildren, Phillip Tucker, Jennifer (John) Coiner, Kayla (David) Law, and Jesse Taylor; and her great-grandchildren, Penelope Draper, Elijah Coiner, Liam Law, and Jamie Law.
