Helen Mary Abel

Helen Mary Abel was born on April 22, 1941 in Trenton, New Jersey; she is the daughter of Henry Hertel and Lillian Hertel. She went home to be with the Lord on May 16, 2024, in Niceville, Florida surrounded by friends and family. She married the love of her life Ronnie Lee Abel Sr.  and were married for 30 years, together they had five children.

Helen was a devoted wife, mother and follower of Christ. Her caring touch and warmth were also shown through her green thumb. Tending to her garden was one of her many talents, her specialty being roses which became iconic to her. She worked very hard to always be there for all of her children and grandchildren. All that knew her knew she was full of love and kindness, always willing to give to those in need. She was always ready to make you laugh or smile and to get you up dancing.

Helen is preceded in death by her mother, father, and husband Ronnie Lee Abel Sr.

She is survived by her children Tina Abel, Chris Abel, Ronnie Abel Jr., Catherine Abel and Margaret Abel, and nine grandchildren.
